In ”Field work” I consider a body that is floating into landscape in order to reconcile a relationship to nature. The entangled nature-body practice is to search for a body acknowledging how it is constituted by more-than-human contributors giving the possibility of being considered as a ’fleeting occurrence’ (a vessel for streaming the outside-inside and inside-outside). This develops an emerging understanding of nature through the body and of the body through nature. The body becomes seen as this vessel through which we experience our lives and by giving recognition to this, nature can be a source for an embodied development of wildness.
Specifically I have worked with the notion of the historical charge in the landscape/environment that assemblies the prospective of how this is a meeting place from the past - those who have already been there, the present - me/us being there, and the future - those who will still arrive.
This recognition was important for me in how I shaped the understanding of embodying and presenting ”Field Work”. The work is a filmed documentation over practicing embodiment of place and is a part of my ongoing research around body and landscape (2023).
