After Eight

After Eight: A piece somewhere in between dance and circus in a setting of a late night dinner-party. We meet the bird, the host, the hostess, the guest, the child and the artist. The characters are based on an assemblage of costumes that have appeared earlier in my projects and are now re-characterized into a new setting of six dancers. The piece is a surrealistic dinner where thoughts and ideas grow into reality. It is a common journey that leaves the dinner table behind into a wild play in a dream reality. It can be perceived as a full hour performance compressed into 15 minutes.
